What Elixir Attendance does today. Anything still planned is marked Coming soon.
Face-based attendance
Employees are verified by face, with a liveness check designed to resist printed photos and screens. Recognition runs on the phone, so it works without the internet.
- Face detection with quality guidance while enrolling
- Identity verification against registered employees
- On-device liveness (anti-spoofing) check
- “One person at a time” when several faces are in view
- Unknown faces are not matched to anybody
No face-recognition system is perfect. Lighting, distance and appearance changes affect results, and administrators can review and correct attendance.
Where face data lives
A face template (a set of numbers describing the face) and an enrolment photo are stored only on the phone where the employee was registered. They are never uploaded to the cloud. An administrator on a paid plan can export them in an encrypted backup file, which the organization keeps itself.
Cloud backup of face templates and using several kiosks for the same organization Coming soon
Touch or touchless punching
Choose how your kiosk works:
- Separate: two buttons, Punch in and Punch out
- Single: one button, the app works out in or out
- Touchless: no buttons, recognition alone records the punch
- Optional break punches (break start and break end)
- A minimum gap between punches prevents accidental repeats
- 1Face detected
- 2Liveness check
- 3Identity verified
- 4Location recordedIf enabled
- 5Attendance recorded
Employee management
- Employee code, name and mobile number
- Optional email, department, designation and joining date
- Face registration on the phone
- Shift and work-calendar assignment
- Active and inactive employees; history is kept
- Departments you can rename and reorganize
Sensible defaults
New employees start in your default department and on your default work calendar. You can change either before saving.
Work shifts & timings
- Fixed day shifts, night shifts that cross midnight, and flexible timings
- Grace period for late arrival
- Expected working hours and break allowance
- Half-day and full-day thresholds
- In, out and optional break punches
- Employees without a shift use default hours
Attendance you can stand behind
- Review days that need attention, such as a missing punch-out
- Add or correct punches with a reason; the original is kept
- Lock a payroll period so it cannot change
- An audit trail of every correction and lock
Work calendars
- Working days and week offs for each calendar
- Full-day and half-day holidays
- Single-date overrides, such as a working Saturday
- Several calendars, assigned per employee
- Weekly-schedule changes apply from a date you choose, so past attendance keeps the rules it had
Reports
- Daily attendance and employee summary
- Late coming, early going and absent
- Half day, overtime and work hours
- Missing punch and multiple punches
- Filter by period, department and employee
- Export to CSV and Excel (.xlsx)
| Employee | In | Out | Hours | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Employee A | 09:02 | 18:05 | 8h 03m | Present |
| Employee B | 09:31 | 18:10 | 7h 39m | Late |

Location verification
Location is optional and off until an administrator turns it on. When it is on, the phone's location at the moment of a punch is recorded, and punches can be limited to your workplace area.
- Workplace area with an adjustable radius
- Or a named location, such as “Head office”, with no GPS at all
- No tracking between punches and no background location
Only when punching
The app reads location only while a punch is being recorded, never in the background.
Offline attendance & cloud sync
A punch is complete the moment it is saved on the phone. Face recognition, punching and reports all work with no connection.
- Punches are queued and uploaded when the phone is back online
- Cloud sync backs up employees, shifts and punches, not faces
- Restore employees and attendance from the cloud onto a new phone
- Cloud sync can be turned off in Settings
Nothing is synced while offline; the queue waits. The phone keeps recent punch history; the cloud copy keeps the full history. Work calendars are stored on the phone only.
Optional cloud backup
On by default and yours to turn off. Your data is stored in Google Firebase under your organization's own account.
Built for real workplaces
- Available in 13 languages: English, हिन्दी, मराठी, ગુજરાતી, தமிழ், తెలుగు, العربية, Deutsch, Español, Français, Português (Brasil), 日本語, 简体中文
- Several organizations can use one phone; each one's data stays separate
- Attendance-only user for a kiosk that should not open settings
- Account deletion with a 30-day window to change your mind
Planned
